Erin completed her BSc in Neuroscience at the University of Nottingham, where she became interested in Mental Health research during her undergraduate research project, which explored cognitive deficits in a neurodevelopmental rodent model of schizophrenia.
She then completed an MSc in Psychology (conversion) at the University of Nottingham, followed by a year working as a Research Assistant examining the barriers and facilitators for blood donation in ethnic minority and LGBTQ+ communities. Since then, Erin has worked at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience (IoPPN) at Kings College London, where she was involved in the patient and public involvement and engagement work package of a multinational, interdisciplinary research consortium called RADAR-CNS, which has been exploring the use of mobile health (mHealth) technology for the diagnosis, measurement, and treatment of MS, Epilepsy, and Depression. In addition, she has examined the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on technology use and self-reported depression and anxiety.
Beyond research, Erin enjoys music (playing piano, guitar, and drums), film, journaling, and getting out into nature with her cocker spaniel.
