Anna Hall
Anna completed her Psychology BSc at the University of Bath, during which she completed a clinical placement year at the Evelina Children’s Hospital. Being exposed to the variable outcomes for patients and lack of understanding surrounding mental illness encouraged her to pursue mental health research. She completed an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of York before working as a Research Assistant at the University of Oxford, investigating the development of executive functions in infancy.
During the rotation year, Anna would like to focus on learning new research methods. She hopes to adopt an interdisciplinary and transdiagnostic approach in her research, exploring symptomatology across diagnostic categories to better understand individual experiences of mental illness and develop more individualised treatment. She is also passionate about reducing stigma surrounding mental illness so that everyone feels able to seek support and talk openly in times of need.
Outside of academia, Anna is a keen gymnast and climber, and enjoys long walks exploring London.
